Garcinia Cambogia is a fruit from India which contains (-) hydroxycitric acid (very similar to citric acid found in oranges).
Studies have shown that this substance can curb appetite, reduce food intake and inhibit the synthese of fats and cholesterol. Toxicity studies have shown HCA to be safer than citric acid. It works by inhibiting the enzyme that converts excess food ingested into fat. This in turn results in an increased level of glycogen in the bloodstream that sends a signal to the brain resulting in less desire to eat.
