Melatonin is a natural neurohormone secreted by the pineal gland. It is well documented that melatonin, a dietary supplement, helps to regulate the sleep cycle. When the sleep cycle is disturbed – jet lag, night work, insomnia, sleep disorders (out of normal rhythm), etc. – melatonin, taken at bedtime will often help return user to the natural sleep pattern.
